After 18 years in business, we've decided to put the Inn on the market and pass the torch along. We've had wonderful and fulfilling experiences here and have met some of the most incredible people. Over the years we've built a strong business and have been able to offer a comfortable haven for many travelers and friends. Part of Ski History Since 1949The original farmstead was converted by Arthur and Sewall Williams — two of the Valley's earliest innkeepers. "...opening New Year's Day, 1949, Ulla Lodge is ideally located in the snow corner of New England, near the new chair lift at Mad River Glen and the rope tow on Martin's Hill." In the early 1970's, new owners changed the name of the business to the Snuggery Inn with Zach's Tavern — well known for its outrageous après ski activities and the infamous California hot tub in the silo. In 1987, the Inn was renovated and reopened as the Hyde Away Inn & Restaurant. Today, the Hyde Away is owned and operated by Margaret and Bruce Hyde. |
