"All we can say is WOW!!!!" — Feb. 7, 2008

To Margaret, Dana, Nora, Bruce, MK, and all the other wonderful staff that we did not get their names: All we can say is, WOW!!!!! You have a Great Little Gig there in your Inn, Restaurant, and Bar. Myself, my two brothers, John, Matt, and my good friend Billy had such a great time there this past weekend (2/2 to 2/5). I wish I had known about your place sooner!! Well, now that we got to know you and the amazing way you treat your guests, we plan on making our trip and anuual event along with some extra weekends thrown in. Thank You for your wonderful hospitality and we hope you keep doing what you do so well for another 20yrs!!! We haven't stopped boasting to everyone about the HydeAway and can't wait to return in March! Keep the Snow, cold and fresh for us! See Ya Soon!

"Love this place!"

"I've skied in the Valley for years and have slept everywhere. I keep coming back to the Hyde Away. Bruce and Margaret are the nicest innkeepers ever and that MK in the bar always ensures that we have a great time. I was lucky to be there for one of their famous Beach Parties! — an unforgettable time. No better place in the Mad River Valley for me to lay my head! Good food, good drink and good times!"

"Mad River Glen, with its aversion to grooming, snowmaking, and publicity, is an anomaly in the ski world. So it's not too surprising to find that those who've been skiing Mad River since it opened in 1948 are still enjoying après ski and accommodations at The Hyde Away Inn & Restaurant. The original farmstead, built in 1820, was converted to a ski lodge in 1947. There are still no TVs or in-room phones, and the tavern still occupies the original barn. The inn has 12 rooms with both private and shared baths."
